On May 20 we flew out to Georgia to visit Ryan, Liz, Gabriel, Eme, Oli, and to meet our newest grandson, Elliot. It was an amazing two weeks. We helped the kids move from Georgia to Tennessee. We helped pack but when it came to lifting, I held the baby! Gabriel was baptized on May 28th and Elliot was blessed on May 29th. We celebrated birthdays on the evening of May 28th, after Ryan went to the Chicken Swap!!! Yes, a chicken swap!! I am not sure how Liz puts up with his love of "all things nature". LOL But it was a weekend full of friends and family. I thoroughly enjoyed it all. There were 30 family members there. Ryan and Liz seemed to take it all in stride with all the activities, two old folks (Marty and I) staying with them, moving boxes everywhere, three very active children and a brand new baby! Whew! We did everything that we had on our 'to do list' while we were there. We went to the Varsity; museums; took Eme to the Cabbage Patch Hospital(which was amazing); took the boys out for their 'grandma and grandpa' special days; toured Chickamuaga National Battlefield, which was an amazing experience. There are tons more we did and enjoyed every minute. The best memories is spending time with family and friends. We reconnected with old friends, met new friends, laughed until we hurt at the things the grandchildren said, and received kisses by the hundreds. Our vacation could not have been better! Thanks for putting up with us! We love and miss you guys!
